Enjoying time here in KC, but now counting the days until Paul arrives on 12 August... I can't wait to see him! The time away from each other is quickly becoming tedious and I have no response for friends and family who ask "Why are you spending so much time apart this summer?" We are quite scared to see the final phone bill.The heat here in the midwest USA has been absolutely oppressive for most of the summer and I'm finding it impossible to be outside during the height of the afternoon. The national news reports are stating that this is the hottest summer on record for many parts of the country and it's not hard to believe, as temperatures here have reached 105F/40C many times over the past few weeks.
